I went to Beond to heal from childhood trauma and a resulting crippling anxiety. My experience there was life changing. I’ve done decades of therapy and just couldn’t quite get to a place where I could move past the trauma, heal, and deal with the resulting anxiety that dominated my life. I spent some time working in an ER and so was looking for a place that would provide the medical care necessary to put me at ease and Beond delivered just that. From the moment I arrived the staff put me at ease, integrated me into a safe environment and allowed me to start the work of healing. Everything from the activities, coaching, food, accommodations, everything was not only above and beyond what I expected, but it was so thoughtful and intentional and done with care. On the medical side of things, I can’t emphasize enough how much Beond takes medical support seriously. The due diligence they do up front to make sure guests are suitable candidates for treatment put me at ease. They didn’t just have me sign up and take my money. I had to meet with screeners and a doctor on the medical team first to go over my history and any adjustments or things I’d need to consider before undergoing treatment. In the lead up to my stay, if I had questions about medications, treatments, etc. the Doctor was just an email away and was super responsive to my questions. On site, the Beond medical staff, nursing and physician support is 24/7, whatever you need. And during the Ibogaine treatment itself, you have a nurse at your bedside the entire time, and the nursing staff isn’t just checking a box and marking time, they truly do engage, support, and hold your hand when you need. Doctors are on site 24/7 and are an integral part of treatment, from checking on you, to addressing ANY and I mean ANY needs that come up with compassionate care. I was able to feel completely supported medically, so that I could do the important work within. I didn’t have to worry at any point about medical complications because I could see and talk to the medical team all the time. That’s a huge source of comfort. Outside of that, I’d say the biggest strength Beond has is its sense of community. I’ve never experience the level of kindness that I did when I was there. I’ve kept in touch with staff, owners, medical team, and guests I met while I was there. They support you in integrating back into your life with weekly calls, tools, and skills. They practice what they preach and help you get adjusted to life and its ups and downs. I know flying to Mexico for treatment can feel scary. Believe me, I know. But you’re in the safest, most loving hands at Beond. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I’d go all over again in a heartbeat. I am forever grateful to them for changing my life.

I arrived at Beond in the depths of a decades long addiction to opiates. It would not be my first experience with ibogaine - but it would be the most effective. As this advancement in addiction therapy becomes more understood, the methodology of administration becomes easier and safer. The protocols in place at Beond are world class. The entire staff, from the custodial people to the kitchen staff, from the therapists to the nurses and doctors, were caring, loving, supportive and just plain authentic. I've never experienced this complete nurturing beforehand, nor do I expect to again. The follow up support is also present. If you are still suffering, Ibogaine may be the solution for you. A few years ago I set out in pursuance of a very deep and meaningful conquest, a spiritual - healing journey to help reset my life and restore hope for a better future for myself! I knew if I was successful my life would come full circle and I’d accomplish my goals, intent and purpose in life, I’d be able to be the father, son, brother, uncle, parent, friend that I always knew I was supposed to be, get a chance to find the True Drew and live a life of authenticity. Some felt this was selfish, I called it Self Love…others felt confused, betrayed and abandoned, and during this time I lost friends and family. In 2018, after experiencing countless life altering symptoms, I had been sent to Wounded Warrior where I was diagnosed with a TBI - traumatic brain injury, CPTSD, and had a lifetime of trauma before that. I knew then I needed to find another source of help, hope and care…little did I know that after a 24 year career as a U.S. Marine, that it would lead me to Cancun, Mexico and to Beōnd for a psychedelic medicine experience l. However; through divine timing, serendipitous circumstances and interactions, I was afforded the opportunity to be a part of Cohort 1 with Beōnd Service, while I was advocating for others to have an opportunity to receive a holistic and plant based treatment. I was running out of hope circumventing the VA healthcare system and traditional medical/healthcare options, I felt I had tried everything, but I didn’t try this! Let me say, what Tom and Thalia have created is the epitome of what wellness and healthcare should be through the world of hope, love, compassion and empathy, wrapped into a beautiful atmosphere, team of doctors, nurses, coaches, chefs, and professionals that should be considered the standard for the entire world to follow! It was single-handedly the most important, transcendent, personal experience of my life and I can say that unwavering with much gratitude. I suspect, every single person there who has seen this process and treatment through, would echo my sentiments and I believe this facility is the future for this sort of practice. I jokingly called it the holistic healing Disney, with each worker giving the Main Street, USA level of excitement and attention to detail. Again, I feel such gratitude for the team, the community and these loving - kind souls, who so selflessly devote themselves to this cause and their parents journey, care, wellness and happiness.
